Agreement and product scope
Smart HelpDesk is self-hosted IT service management and asset-management software for organisations. By downloading, installing, purchasing, or using the software, you accept these terms on behalf of yourself and, where applicable, your organisation.
Your organisation remains responsible for the data, users, devices, policies, and access permissions configured in its own installation.
Trial, subscription, and activation
A new eligible server installation may receive a three-month trial. A trial is limited to one trial per eligible server and may not be restarted by reinstalling the software. We may refuse, suspend, or end a trial where it is abused or obtained through inaccurate information.
Paid access is licensed per Smart HelpDesk server installation. A subscription covers the devices managed by that installation; it does not grant a right to copy, resell, or operate the software for another customer without written permission.
Subscription status is checked periodically. If a subscription ends or a payment remains unresolved after any stated grace period, the software may enter read-only mode. Your organisation's locally stored data is not deleted by that status change.
Acceptable use
You must use Smart HelpDesk lawfully and only on systems you are authorised to manage. You are responsible for obtaining any required employee notices, consents, and approvals before using remote-support, inventory, security, or monitoring features.
You must not bypass licensing, remove technical safeguards, reverse engineer the software except where law cannot restrict that right, distribute unauthorised copies, or use the service to harm others or access systems without authority.
Updates and support
We may provide updates, fixes, and documentation. Updates may change features to improve security, reliability, or compliance. Support is provided through the published support channels and does not include a guaranteed response time unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.
Disclaimer and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Smart HelpDesk is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. You are responsible for backups, access control, and validating updates in an appropriate environment. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Contact and changes
For questions about these terms, contact support@shdgrid.com. We may update these terms when needed for the product or law; the current version is published on this page.
